Adobe Photoshop CS4′s Quick Review

photoshopver2

I remember messing with Photoshop when it was practically like Paint on Windows. It was on an old ass Mac desktop and all it had were the lasso, paintbrush, and canvas. Then I started playing with Illustrator. Looking back now it seems Photoshop has come a long way from it’s baby state. Now it plays nice with Flash and Dreamweaver. I simply love how fast it can batch process large image files. The difference is night and day compared to CS3. The interface through me off at first by being really really plain but then I noticed that it was streamlined and allowed you to quickly look at things. I also like the quick access to Bridge as well.

I’ll have to mess with the brushes to see what it is capable of next.

RepliGo PDF Reader: Is That a Book in Your Pocket?

I’m a big reader and if I could, I’d take all of my books with me where ever I go. I love to read on the John. I love to read while waiting in line. Well, you get my point. The latest update to an already decent PDF reader for the G1 is pretty good. The last update allows you to search, restores page where you left off and thumb through the bookmarks. He’s added hyperlinks and will open up the browser when you click on one. The only thing left for him to cover is converting big ass PDFs on your desktop and loading into the SD card.

Android’s G1 SNESoid: It’s All About Retro Gaming

I got Yongzh’s latest emulator and it is such a joy to play these old SNES games again. Since it’s an early build, there are some quirks such as off synced sound and a handful of games that don’t work. Like always, he’s going to update his masterpiece and I’m sure the next update will fix these minor issues. When you save a state and then go back to play the game, try to restart it before you load your save because I find that restarting first will get it going properly.

If you’re a gamer on a budget like me, just do a search for SNESoid on the Market and you’ll find it.
