I saw this video when I had a tonsil infection. I was completely delirious from lack of sleep and tons of meds flowing through my sexy body which made the video even more interesting. I couldn’t believe they actually played music videos on TV so I was really excited. Music videos…on a music network. Get the hell out of here! I love the art direction. It is a timeline of pop culture’s graphic design sewn beautifully with the song’s lyrics. The typography for each scene is outstanding because it makes you feel like there’s something familiar about it. Something you’ve seen before but can’t pinpoint and the song is pretty chill too.
The Artistic Rain Man
Stephen Wiltshire is a London artist who has autism and is incredibly gifted. He has the ability to draw city panoramas after a glimpse of it. His stunningly detailed drawings are completely from his memory. The details can be slightly off but try to draw something from memory and you’ll see how difficult it gets. Most illustrations or paintings are done by having some sort of picture to aid you. This guy does it after a helicopter ride.
