Blazblue Calamity Trigger’s First Impression
by Thai on July 14, 2009
I had the chance to play a bit of Arc System Works and Aksys Games’ BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger on the PS3 on Sunday. This is a gorgeous high-resolution sprite based 2-D fighter that doesn’t fall short on over the top animation. At first I thought it was going to be exactly like Guilty Gear and it turned out that it has an original set of character. They do have similar moves but the characters feels different. Even though the roster is only 12 characters, each character plays differently. The fighting mechanics are different if you’re a Street Fighter Veteran. This game is definitely worth buying.
The story falls short on anything worth noticing. If anything the visuals are beyond what I expected and plays like you’re in an anime.
Blazblue also supports remote play with your PSP.
